Sabbath is built to keep your rest, your prayers and your time private. The short version: the Sabbath browser extension keeps everything on your own device and sends nothing to us or anyone else.

The Sabbath Chrome extension

The extension stores the following only in your browser's local storage on your own computer:

• Your work hours, rest days and protected time blocks
• Your emergency keyword
• Your S.O.A.P. journal entries, prayer and intention log, and fasting records

The extension has no account, no server, no analytics and no tracking. It makes no network requests of its own and does not collect, sell, share or transmit your data. We cannot see anything you write or save in it. Removing the extension deletes this data from your browser.

Why it asks for access to certain websites

Sabbath asks for permission to see when you open a fixed list of work sites: Slack, Gmail, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Notion, Asana and Trello. This is used for one purpose only: during your rest time or a protected block, Sabbath redirects that tab to your Sanctuary page. The extension only checks the address of the site you are opening. It does not read page content, passwords, messages or anything you type on those sites, and it does not record your browsing history.

The getsabbath.com website and waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and the time you signed up. We use it only to send you a welcome message and to tell you when Sabbath is available. The email address is stored with our database provider (Supabase), and the welcome email is sent through our email provider (Resend). We do not sell your email or share it for advertising. You can ask us to delete it at any time using the contact below.

The website may use privacy-friendly analytics that count visits without tracking you across other sites.

Feedback emails

The extension has a "Send feedback" link that opens your own email app. If you choose to write to us, we receive your email address and your message, and we use them only to reply and to improve Sabbath. Nothing is sent unless you send it.

Children

Sabbath is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
